What is the project about?
The Erasmus Mundus Intercultural Competence (EMIC) project is a research project funded
by the European Commission Action 3 funds to support Erasmus Mundus initiatives.
The project hat aims to explore intercultural issues Erasmus Mundus students are
facing and to develop an integrated learning programme that will help students deal
with issues of cultural diversity and enable them to use intercultural contexts to
their advantage. The EMIC Learning programme will create a unique environment for
developing intercultural competence, sharing experiences and strengthening bonds
with other colleagues, and fostering a network for future intercultural experiences
and professional contacts. The project will result in an EMIC Toolkit that will contain
a set of open-source tools for supporting activities aimed at developing intercultural
competence, based on the EMIC Learning programme.
